On 5 July 2026, members of the Gympie Women’s Shed came together for a meaningful Resilience Workshop, taking time to reflect on the journey we have shared in our current home and the many friendships, experiences and memories created along the way.

The morning provided an opportunity to pause, recognise how far we have come and celebrate the strength of our members and our community. Through photographs and shared stories, we revisited special moments from the Shed’s history and acknowledged the connections that have grown within our group.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Cristine Hall and Annie Richards for facilitating such an engaging and thoughtful session. Their guidance helped create a warm and supportive space where members could share memories, express gratitude and look ahead with optimism.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the creation of our beautiful Reflection Tree. Each leaf captured a strength, memory, hope or meaningful part of our shared experience, creating a lasting symbol of the resilience, friendship and spirit of the Gympie Women’s Shed.

Following the workshop, members enjoyed a delicious lunch together and raised a toast to our current location and all the special moments it has given us.

As we prepare to close this chapter, we do so with gratitude for everything our current Shed has represented. We are also excited for the next stage of our journey as we prepare to relocate and begin creating many more memories in our new home.

Our next chapter is just beginning, and we look forward to sharing more very soon.
