This year, the Gympie Women’s Shed is thrilled to announce our major fundraising initiative—monthly market stalls packed with second hand treasures and art and craft creations made right here at the shed! These stalls will showcase the talent, creativity, and community spirit of our members while raising funds to support our activities. Under the expert guidance of our wise woman and talented artist Penny MacIntyre, we’ll kick off with an inspiring project: learning to paint beautiful wildflowers that capture the essence of nature’s untamed beauty. Next, we’ll get creative with our second project, crafting one-of-a-kind clocks out of old records under the tutelage of wise woman Carol Young. These clocks will combine vintage charm with modern flair, making them perfect conversation pieces. Whether you’re stopping by the markets to browse, buy, or just soak up the vibrant atmosphere, you’ll feel the energy of a community coming together to support a great cause. There’s nothing more exciting than seeing what we can create and achieve as a team—so join us in making this year’s fundraiser our most successful and inspiring yet! The classes are free as the final product you create will be sold at the stall.
